Monitors

Early lubrication monitors indexed a counter with each switch closure and reset a timer. You adjusted the pump to get a certain cycle time, which is related to total delivery through the system.

Many lubrication monitoring devices still use this method — watch the counter, blinker or indicator and time it with your watch. Some are battery powered, some are a few lines of program in a computer. But they don’t tell you what you need to know — how much oil am I pumping?

Sloan Brothers’ Wizard monitor displays the actual delivery in pints/24 hours based on the last divider cycle. You simply adjust the pump output to see the desired flow rate. A lubrication failure alarm is also set as a minimum pints/day, and if the delivery falls to that limit, we signal your alarm.

Sure, we stock other kinds of monitors too, but why not keep it simple? Install a Wizard monitor. You’ll be pleased you did.
