Check Valves

At Sloan Brothers, we put extraordinary attention and effort into designing and applying the proper components for the most accurate and reliable total lubrication solution.

Oil supply, pumps, filters, gauges, divider blocks, indicators, monitors everything that must work together to put the oil precisely where it needs to be.

And when we put it there, we want it to stay there. So, at each step when oil is moved, we have a check valve to keep it from moving back. At the pump outlet there are two ball checks, and at each divider outlet there are two poppet checks. Most importantly, at the end of the line where it goes into the machine, we use our exclusive Omni terminal check valve, a double O-ring poppet check valve. All stainless steel, good for services up to 7,500 psi, our Omni check valve is used by gas and CNG compressor OEMs and operators of critical refinery compressors. It is the best around.

Under the worst operating conditions of high heat, pressure and percussion, even the Omni check valve needs a little protection. So Sloan Brothers developed our Omni gas trap to work in conjunction with the Omni check valve. The trap maintains a liquid seal of oil on the discharge of the check valve, as well as a small cushion of gas. This keeps contamination from the gas stream and the hammering percussion of the piston away from the check valve, keeping it calm, cool and collected.

Check valve troubles may be indicated by symptoms like blowing rupture discs, popped indicator pins and excessive heat at the valve. Install an Omni check and gas trap and your troubles will be over.
